Quba Mosque, which our community had eagerly anticipated as a place of worship and service, officially opened its doors to the public on 12 September 2025 in the presence of distinguished community members and leaders.

As Her Excellency had been unable to attend the official opening due to prior commitments, Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria, paid a special visit to Quba Mosque on Thursday, 2 July 2026.
During the visit, Her Excellency was given a comprehensive overview of the mosque’s vision, activities, and the wide range of community services delivered through Quba Mosque and the organisations operating under the umbrella of the Australian Universal Federation (AUF). The visit also provided an opportunity to highlight the mosque’s ongoing contributions in the areas of faith, education, youth development, family support, interfaith engagement, and community wellbeing.

Expressing her sincere appreciation, the Governor remarked on the breadth and positive impact of the services being provided to people from all walks of life. She conveyed her admiration for the dedication of the many volunteers and community leaders who tirelessly serve on the ground and personally thanked those involved for their commitment to strengthening social cohesion and enriching the wider Victorian community.

The visit concluded in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reaffirming the importance of collaboration, mutual understanding, and community partnership in building a more connected and harmonious society.
